Spring Hair Tips | Wen + Slip

The worst part about spending a lot of time on your hair is having it ruined by sleeping on it. This spring I've kept my style going with Wen's Six Thirteen's styling cream and my Slip silk pillowcase. Afterall, if I'm going to keep my blow outs fresh through the second day, I need all the help I can get.

Wen Sixthirteen  |  The first step to any long-lasting style is the right preparation. Sixthirteen is a fantastic multi-tasking styling cream that's suitable for all hair types. It helps tame stubborn frizz, protects from heat and provides moisture so hair stays shiny and smooth. For my long hair it only takes about a nickel size amount of product and I work it through mid-length to ends and apply residual product a bit closer to the root. After blow drying my hair is smooth, frizz free and feels really light because this product doesn't weigh hair down at all. It's a great no-fuss styling cream that covers all my bases so I don't have to worry about product build-up. I love simplifying my beauty routine and this cream helps me do just that!

Slip Pillowcase  |  After a long day, the last thing I want to worry about is how my precious sleep will affect my style by morning. I remember hearing about how different fabrics can help avoid tangles, but I never really looked into it. I was pleasantly surprised by the Slip silk pillowcase. Not only did it significantly reduce the tangles in my hair, but this kind of pillowcase is actually better for your skin as well! Silk will not pull at your skin like cotton or absorb moisture from your skin. As a result, skin stay smoother and more hydrated than with a standard pillowcase. Silk also keeps you more comfortable because it breathes and is great for people with allergies because it is naturally dust mite resistant and hypoallergenic. The Slip pillowcase comes in gorgeous colors to coordinate with your existing bedding - white, black, charcoal, pink, caramel, gold (pictured above) and more!
