Spring Series ft. Mineral Fusion

With the promise of warmer weather around the corner (hopefully), also comes fresh new shades of all your favorite makeup items.  Not the least of which, is nail polish.  I don't have strict seasonal shades I wear, but I always love a light neutral polish.  Mineral Fusion has come out with new shades for spring that will give you an effortless, chic manicure in no time.

As much as I love a vibrant nail polish, I most often gravitate toward versatile neutrals.  I particularly love shades that are pretty forgiving - if I mess up or don't apply them perfectly, it's hard to tell!  As a busy mom I immediately fell in love with the everyday shades in this new collection.  The four polishes I have are  Fire Opal, Golden Sand, Snowflake and the Gel Top Coat.

While you could wear Snowflake on its own for a subtle glitter look, I prefer to use it as a topper shade.  I've worn it over Golden Sand and Fire Opal and it's equally gorgeous either way.  It's a soft pearlescent glitter, as opposed to Mineral Fusion's Confetti, for those that prefer a deeper multi-colored glitter.  I love the softness and versatility of Snowflake, personally.

Golden Sand is an ideal nude polish with a slight shimmer.  It's very flattering and goes with a multitude of looks.  I love a polish that goes with absolutely everything I wear!  I also love the finish of this shade.  The bit of shimmer adds interest to an otherwise neutral shade you might not have looked at otherwise.  If you want to add even more interest, you could top it with Snowflake like I mentioned before, or Mineral Fusion's Glitter Top Coat.

Pink Fire Opal is a stunning sheer, iridescent pink.  It gives a lightness to your look without delving into the traditional pastels of spring.  This is another shade that is very forgiving if you don't have time to perfect every mistake of your at-home manicure.  I really like unique shades like this.  It's more interesting to look at than a cream finish, but it's softer and more versatile than glitter.  Love.

To top off any of your polishes, Mineral Fusion makes a Gel Top Coat.  This top coat provides shine and protection for your manicure with no special light required for drying.  You can use this on top of glitter polishes, such as Snowflake, for a smooth finish.

Mineral Fusion's chip resistant formula is free of formaldehyde, toluene, camphor, TPHP, and dibutyl phthalate.
