Fall Series ft. Monee Cosmetics

When I think of fall I think of all the warm colors, cooler weather, and comforting scents.  What is not so comforting, is the feeling of dry skin, whether it's on your face or body.  It certainly isn't as bad as the winter, but I definitely need to nourish and protect my skin as the weather changes.  Two products I have been enjoying lately are Monee Cosmetics' Nourishing Silk Honey Serum and Coco Shea Souffle Body Creme.

Nourishing Silk Honey Serum

This serum is a really unique formula and combination of ingredients.  I don't have much in the way of skincare that contains honey.  From all that I have read, honey has amazing benefits including purifying, moisturizing, and even firming.  I love a multi-purpose product!  It also has witch hazel, jojoba oil, and organic propolis.  I didn't know what propolis was so I looked it up and this ingredient helps heal skin and fight bacteria.  This is a major plus for me because my skin is sensitive and prone to breakouts.

This serum simply gets applied to clean skin before your moisturizer.  For me, about two pumps of product is more than enough to cover my entire face and a bit down my neck.  The formula itself is more of a gel as opposed to a typical liquid serum.  I really like how easy it is to dispense and apply without product dripping everywhere.  I can easily apply the serum without a bit of waste and I don't risk spilling it!  It absorbs very quickly too, so I can move on with my beauty routine.  On some days, even when I didn't wear makeup, I still applied this serum because it feels lightweight, fresh and helps keep my skin in check throughout the day.  I haven't noticed any breakouts while using this serum, it's amazing!  I wouldn't hesitate to travel with this serum, unlike others I've had, because the bottle is really travel-friendly. Overall, I love the effects of this serum.  I've come to really enjoy serums and the benefits they have for my skin.  It's an extra, but very beneficial step in my skincare routine.

Coco Shea Souffle Body Creme

This is the type of body creme you will want to dive right into.  The scent and the formula are so rich, I look forward to putting it on every night before bed.  It is not overwhelming or by any means too sweet, though I love sweet scents.  It's one of those smells that gives a warm, cozy feeling that's perfect for this time of year!

This creme features nourishing ingredients such as aloe, cocoa butter, coconut oil, grape seed oil, and shea butter.  Grape seed oil has anti-aging benefits so you are getting a lot more than hydration from these creme.  I had a hard time figuring out the exact scent... a warm, nutty fragrance that still has freshness from the coconut oil.  It's very comforting, so for me, it's perfect for at night.  I don't have to use much because as I said, the formula is rich and a little goes a long way.  Once absorbed, there is no greasy residue so if you apply this throughout the day, you won't feel any uncomfortable oiliness on your skin.  I have enjoyed applying this creme to my hands, arms and also my heels at night.  Even though it isn't sandal season, I still don't want uncomfortable, dry skin on my heels.  I do exfoliate when I can but I definitely need a nourishing moisturizer to keep my heels feeling smooth.  I really feel pampered, whenever and wherever I apply this rich body creme.  It also looks beautiful out on a vanity or counter with its clean, simple design.  Love it!
