Boxycharm October 2015

Each month Boxycharm has a different theme and this month is Faces of the Moon.  It is about embracing your beauty, no matter who you choose to be.  I hoped they wouldn't include something like face paint to help us transform into "whatever we choose to be!"  Of course there is nothing like that in this box... just the usual, awesome selection of full size products I've come to expect (and love) from Boxycharm.  Let's take a look at this month's treats!

boxycharm october 2015 - the beauty puff

My Boxycharm selection was a complete surprise to me, though I did see all the previews on Instagram of what other people got in their emails.  The first thing that I immediately loved was that all the packaging was all black (the mascara came in a black box, in case you wondered).  It looks sleek, spooky, and above all exciting because of course, it's what's on the inside that counts!  My box included the following products:

Palmetto Derma Rejuvinating Antioxidant Mask ($64)

Boxycharm has featured Palmetto Derma's Collogen Booster & Restoration Serum in a previous box and my skin drank that right up!  I was excited to see this brand featured in another box.  This mask (haha, I see the Halloween reference now!) has Kaolin clay which helps to clean pores and absorb impurities.  My favorite bronzer has Kaolin clay so I liked seeing this familiar ingredient!  I'll definitely use this mask a lot and apply it with the Vasanti foundation brush I got in last month's Boxycharm!

Doucce Punk Volumizer Mascara ($24)

I actually own this mascara and really love it.  The large brush takes takes a little getting used to, but it's my favorite bristle style and it catches every lash.  I also love the unique packaging design!  If you'd like to read my entire review, click here!

Bellapierre Cheek and Lip Stain in Coral ($19.99)

I love this color!  I got this cheek stain in coral.  It also comes in pink, but I'm not sure if the colors vary in the boxes.  The color is really fresh and pretty.  Though it is coral, it is not too bright and can be sheered out quite a bit. It's a nice pop of color even this time of year when we may lean more toward deeper shades.  I really like that this formula can be used on the cheeks or lips easily.  You can either use your finger or a brush to apply the product.  There is no spilling to worry about like some stains that come in bottles.  The formula is really smooth, creamy and comes in a convenient jar you can throw in your purse.  I'll be pairing this with some neutral eye looks for sure.

Lord & Berry Line/Shade Eyeliner ($18)

I've never tried anything by this brand, but I have seen it featured in subscription boxes before.  Though it is a pencil liner, the formula is very creamy and color payoff is awesome.  The instant I swatched it I got a clear, intense black.  Some liners take a few swatches to warm up.. not this one!  You can also smudge this liner so it will be ideal for smokey looks this fall/winter.  Everyone needs a good, basic black liner!

Cult Cosmetics Nail Polish in Boneyards ($12)

Based on the previews I have seen, it looks like if you get this polish, this may be the color you get.  I LOVE a gray polish for fall/winter.  It has been my go-to neutral polish the last few weeks.  (Currently wearing the deep gray NCLA polish featured in a past Boxycharm - love!)  This gray is perfect for this month's theme but not too "Halloween" or unwearable.  I'm definitely glad they didn't throw in a bright orange, personally.  I love adding new grays to my collection.  I consider them to be like nude lipsticks - you can never have too many and no, they are not the same! :)

Total value: $137.99 (whoa!)

I love the unique theme this month and that Boxycharm included wearable, versatile, and useful products.  I don't think I can pick a favorite because these are all really great products I'll enjoy using.  What do you think of this month's Boxycharm?  What did you get?
