ColourPop Highlighter, Eyeshadow & Lippie Stix Swatches

ColourPop Swatches

For those of you not familiar with ColourPop, this unique and affordable brand just turned 1!  In celebration of this occasion, they had a special promotion and included a limited edition Birthday Girl eyeshadow with each order for a few days.  With the release of a couple other new items I had my eye on, it was the perfect time to take advantage of this incredible freebie!  So here is just a quick post with a closer look and swatches of my ColourPop order.  Enjoy!

Lippie Stix

ColourPop Lippie Stix come in a variety of finishes.  The cream and glossy finishes appeal the most to me.  The only other shade I own is Fiesta, which was released in their summer collection.  It is a light peachy pink with a cream finish.  I was so impressed with the formula and pigmentation, I had to get a couple nudes for everyday colors!

Skimpy is a glossy finish nude described as "a soft pale nude beige."  It is gorgeous and applies lighter than it appears in the tube, which was fine with me because I LOVE this color!  It is a versatile nude that doesn't wash me out.  The finish has a beautiful shine and the formula is smooth without being too slippery on the lips.

Addict is one of ColourPop's newest shades that was first on my list for this order!  It is described as a "super light nude in a creme finish."  I love this color and finish of this one.  The cream finishes really cling to the lips, but are not drying at all.  Again, this is another gorgeous staple that will get a lot of use.

Highlighter & Super Shock Shadows

These shades look very similar at first glance, but as any makeup lover will tell you, they are all different, and all completely necessary! ;)

Left to right:  Butterly Beach, Plunge, Birthday Girl

When I scoped out ColourPop's new highlighters I wanted one with a peach undertone that could double as an eyeshadow.  Butterfly Beach was the perfect fit!  It is described as "a soft peach with highlights of gold and silver."  It is really stunning and will compliment bronzers well in the summer and look gorgeous on the eyes as well.  A gorgeous "all-rounder" if you ask me.

Plunge is described as a "light warm beige with a golden sheen."  This shadow is very close in color to Butterfly Beach.  It is less peach but has the same gorgeous finish without any glitter.  It will be perfect for a "one shadow look" in the coming months!

Birthday Girl is a stunning light gold/bronze shadow with glitter throughout.  It did not seem as creamy to the touch at first swatch but it is the same smooth formula as the other super shock shadows.  This shade will really make your eyes pop!  If you were unable to get this shade, I honestly think Plunge is a gorgeous second!  It is a bit lighter and has no glitter.  So it may be more wearable for everyday as well.  I personally love them both!

Did you take advantage of the Birthday Girl freebie?  What did you get?
